*Note: In all the instructions “Plaintiff” is the name of the company suing you
- Click this link for: Cook County Case Look-up
- Select a division: “Civil cases under $30k.”
- Enter your case number without dashes or letters.
Example: 2022100000 - Click submit.
- Click on the case with your name and the appropriate plaintiff’s name.
- Click this link for: DuPage County Case Look-up
- Scroll down to “Search by Case Number.”
- Enter your case number without dashes.
Example: 2022100000 - Click search.
- Click on the case with your name and the appropriate plaintiff’s name.
- Alternatively, scroll further down the page and you can search by case name. Enter first and last name.
- Click this link for: Lake County Case Look-up
- In the Search Criteria section select “Case Number.”
- Enter your case number following the example below without dashes.
If your case number on your letter is: 2022-SC-123456
Eliminate the first two numbers and adding two zeros after the letters for example: 22SC00123456 - Check the “I accept the Terms of Agreement” box.
- Click Submit.
- Click on the case with your name and the appropriate plaintiff’s name.
- Click this link for the McHenry County: McHenry County Case Look-up
- Scroll down the page and click “Case Information Search.”
- Enter your case number without dashes.
Example: 2022100000 - Click “Search.”
- Click “Open Case Record,” your name and the appropriate plaintiff’s name.
- Click this link for the Kane County:
Kane County Case Look-up - Scroll down the page and click
“Smart Search.” - Under “Search Criteria” enter your case number
without dashes.
Example: 2022100000 - Click the box next to “I’m not a Robot.”
- Click “Submit”.
- Click your case number next to your name and the appropriate plaintiff’s name.
