Rob Harrer, Managing Attorney
Rob began his legal career primarily focused on consumer protection cases that violate the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act (FDCPA). Rob has advocated tirelessly for thousands of clients with debt and credit issues, who fell victim to debt collectors and debt settlement companies that use unfair, deceptive, and abusive practices. Rob quickly identified an opportunity to better serve consumers and quickly expanded the firm’s scope of practice to include defending collection lawsuits for consumers across Chicagoland.
Rob is a co-founder of the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services Consumer Debt and Credit Clinic. Rob is a graduate of the Northern Illinois University College of Law, where he earned his law degree and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Rob enjoys spending time hiking with his family and reading spy novels. He also enjoys spending time with his young son, building skyscrapers with Legos, playing board games, and participating in imaginary play with anything involving a superhero and a cape.
